Welcome back to another episode of Get to Know Me, a series no one asked for but I provide with selfish glee each Tuesday. Come on in, dear reader, and let’s talk books.
Q: What was the last book you re-read?
A: I’m currently re-reading the Hunger Games series! I finished the first book at the end of last week, read the second book in one day, and I’m currently trying to get back on track to finish the third book before I read the prequel, A Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. I’m picking it up today — yay!!
Q: What was the last book you read that you really, really loved?
A: I’m going with Agatha Christie for this one, though I’ve read a ton of great books so far this year. The Murder of Roger Ackroyd was SO good. It was twisty and complex and kept me guessing (even though the identity of the killer had been spoiled for me) until the end. I just adore Poirot and I’m in awe of how unique and complex Christie makes her characters. It was almost more fun to read it knowing who the murderer was because I was looking for clues. The whole time, I was amazed at how expertly she had woven in the clues.
